UPGM203 rigid lamination sheet is made of high-grade unsaturated polyester resin (UP) connected with glass mat reinforcement, and then pressed at high temperature to obtain a multivalent electrically insulating rigid laminate. These polyester laminates are equipped with excellent high hygroelectric properties, high medium temperature mechanical properties, flame retardancy, arc resistance, and tracking resistance.

UPGM203 (GPO-3) provides a lower cost alternative to other thermoset composites such as FR4, G10, G11 epoxy insulation sheets. Of these materials, UPGM203 (GPO-3) is the most economical material for the same electrical insulation application. For example, insulating structural parts in motors and electrical equipment, such as circuit breakers, switchgear, transformers, DC motors, AC contactors, explosion-proof electrical appliances and other electrical appliances.

FR4 is a general term for this type of epoxy insulating sheet, including G10 and G11. G10 and G11 have different addressing modes in different places. They are laminated from E-glass cloth impregnated with epoxy resin, with corresponding flame retardants, adhesives and other additives.

FR4 has better tensile strength, wear resistance and high temperature resistance than UPGM203 (GPO-3), so the price of pure FR4 is much higher than that of UPGM203 (GPO-3).

UPGM203 rigid lamination sheets have excellent mechanical strength and can be machined, punched, drilled, milled, sawed, sanded, sheared or milled. Assembly by gluing, metal screws or rivets is also possible. It also performs well in electrical applications requiring high arc and carbon trace resistance as well as flame retardancy, and our sheets meet the UL94 V0 flame test. Due to its excellent mechanical and thermal properties, it is ideal for use as pole mounts, gaskets, control panels, etc. that require Class F materials, and has excellent tracking resistance.

A:Composite sheet in which synthetic resin is used as matrix material. According to the different matrix resin used, it can be divided into epoxy resin, unsaturated polyester resin, phenolic resin FRP and so on.Epoxy resin is characterized by high compression and tensile strength. It can still maintain good mechanical properties under high temperature for a long time. It has good arc resistance, UV aging resistance and climate resistance. Unsaturated resin is characterized by light weight, high strength, good corrosion resistance, excellent electrical performance, unique thermal performance, excellent processing performance and good material designability.

The disadvantage of epoxy resin is that the price is high, which is more than twice that of unsaturated polyester resin, and the curing time is long (unsaturated polyester resin can be cured within 1 hour, while epoxy resin needs more than 10 hours). In addition, the proportion of fiber and resin also affects the performance of UPGM203 (GPO-3) sheet.The shelf life generally is up to 15 years, if buried underground is up to 50 years.
